Anna MacGregor

  • How long have you been a member of NHTC?

Since October 2021.

  • What is your favourite discipline?

During a race I always enjoy the bike the most (probably because I don’t go fast enough) but I’m a runner at heart.

  • What is your favourite race?

Hever Castle in England. The scenery is amazing.

  • How do you balance training with your work?

I run or cycle to work each day and try to use my lunchtimes to swim and run as well. My colleagues are all used to me working in cycling or running gear!

  • What have you done this season to stay injury-free for your next race?

3 key changes I made this season,

1. Started running slower during training runs,

2. Strength training 1-2x a week and

3. More stretching and mobility work.

  • What’s your biggest piece of advice for a new person to triathlon?

Don’t be put off when you see the superfast people. The club and races are full of mixed abilities, and everyone is really friendly and supportive.
